Yanam beach is a beautiful beach. The pathway along the beach called the Ferry Road has a grand entrance with a massive idol of two elephants around a Shiv Linga. You can hire boat and take a ride in mangrove forest on Godavari River. 

One of the most beautiful place i visited The combination of godavari river and so many statue like lord shiva (shiva linga) with two big elephant , jesus and bharat mata statue and world famous Eiffel tower makes this place too beautiful.

Places to visit

  • The Catholic Church Built in 1846. French furniture and decorations.
  • Draksharamam Temple. The height of the Lingam is around 14 ft. in this temple.
  • The Grand Mosque Space for 200 people to pray.
  • Manikyamabika Devi Temple 16 km from Yanam.
  • Palais de justiceThiagaraja StreetAncient French Court House. The ground floor is the court and the first floor is the residential quarters of the Judge.
  • Venkanna Babu Temple Rue Vichenou. The idol in this temple has big moustaches.
  • Yanam Ferry Road is very scenic it has terrific views of the river.


The best time to visit Yanam is post monsoons and winter.
